Winter WonderLoop is a destination marketing campaign that positions the Loop as a nexus of shopping, dining, theater, family-friendly activities, and special events during the holiday season. By assembling special offers and promotions from around the Loop in one central, accessible, and well-promoted website, Winter WonderLoop accumulates a critical mass of consumer recognition.
More than 13 thousand visitors look to Winter WonderLoop during the holidays for information on programs and events happening in the Loop. Chicago Loop Alliance members benefit from the boost in traffic as well. In 2011, one CLA member saw more than $1,200 in ticket sales as a direct result of a promotion included as part of Winter WonderLoop.
“The Loop experiences a lot of traffic during the holiday shopping season, but our hope with Winter WonderLoop is to create an entire experience for those in the area,” said Chicago Loop Alliance Executive Director Ty Tabing.
