On Friday, December 4, approximately 120 Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) members celebrated the holidays with CLA at The Merchandise Mart's One of a Kind Show and Sale. CLA members received complimentary passes to the One of a Kind which featured the best in original art, craft, fashion and design from North America. While at The Mart, members enjoyed a break from the holiday shopping and visited the private reception area just for CLA members and enjoyed holiday spirits and nosh.
Wednesday, September 30, 2009 | Exclusive Member Event | Willis Tower's Skydeck
On Wednesday, September 30, approximately 170 Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) members and special guests enjoyed a private event 99 floors above the city at the Willis Tower’s Skydeck. The event offered networking over cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and breathtaking views of the city. During the evening, guests had the opportunity to travel up to the 103rd floor of Willis Tower and experience Chicago’s newest attraction – The Ledge. The Ledge reaches out more than four feet from the west side of Willis Tower and provides unobstructed views 1,353 feet straight down.

On Tuesday, August 4th, Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) members enjoyed a private viewing of the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Chicago Model City, a 25 by 35 foot model of Chicago inspired by similar model cities in Beijing and Paris. The quarterly membership event offered networking over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for CLA members from various Loop organizations. The Model City portrays more than four square miles of the city and contains a 3-foot-high model of the Willis Tower.

On Tuesday, May 26, Chicago Loop Alliance members enjoyed an exclusive sneak peek of the Loop's newest and hippest hotel - just 1 day before it opened to the public. Members were treated to private tours, breathtaking views and complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on ROOF-theWit's rooftop lounge, residing 27 floors above State Street.
Thursday, March 26, 2009 | Streetscape Program Launch | Palmer House Hilton
On Thursday, March 26, CLA celebrated the launch of its Streetscape Program and the inaugural installation honoring the Burnham Centennial. Held in the beautiful Red Lacquer Room at the Palmer House, guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oevres and got a sneak peek of future Streetscape installations from cultural partners the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium.
The Streetscape Program is an initiative that activates and beautifies the streetscape by utilizing planters, banners, light posts and El station entrances to create an experience that engages the public and provides yet another reason to visit State Street and the Loop.
